In the framework of the activities aimed at promoting NATO bids, on 28 September 2017 the Brussels office of Regione Lombardia hosted a meeting with Italian entrepreneurs operating in a number of fields, such as ICT, engineering for production and transmission of electricity, and automation. The event is part of the Clustag project, financed by the ESF, aimed at developing international skills to boost competitiveness of SMEs.
In the session focused on NATO bids, the Italian Delegation to NATO gave an explanation of the activities carried out by the economic diplomacy, with particular reference to the support for SME’s internationalization. Special emphasis was put on the effort made by the Italian MFA to foster and coordinate the activities of the different stakeholders involved, as well as the support provided by the Italian Delegation to companies in the different steps of the bidding procedure (nomination, request for deadline extension, assistance in case of appeal, etc.).
