On 13 and 14 October 2016, Ambassador Claudio Bisogniero went to Rome with the North Atlantic Council and NATO Secretary General on the occasion of the 65th anniversary of the foundation of the NATO Defense College and the 50th anniversary of its installation in Rome.
A number of high-level meetings took place with political dignitaries such as the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Paolo Gentiloni and the Minister of Defence Roberta Pinotti. Among the participants, the Chairman of NATO Military Committee Gen. Petr Pavel, the Commandant of NATO Defense College Janusz Bojarski, the President of the Italian Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Hon. Andrea Manciulli, His Royal Highness Prince Rashid of Jordan and the President of the National Security Bureau of Kuwait Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah.
