Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Angelino Alfano met with the Secretary General of NATO, Jens Stoltenberg, in Brussels today. Many topics were addressed: from the relevance of the Atlantic Alliance for international security to the need to reflect on its role in the face of new challenges. Minister Alfano underscored the centrality of the Mediterranean, the meeting point between the European Union and NATO, and the place from which to start to jointly tackle the threat of terrorism.
