The Group of Friends of 1325 meets the new Special Representative of NATO Secretary General for Women, Peace and Security, 6 February 2018

On 6 February, a meeting of the Group of Friends of 1325 took place at the Italian Delegation to NATO. The meeting was attended by the new Special Representative of NATO Secretary General for Women, Peace and Security (WPS), Amb. Clare Hutchinson, the chairman of the Civil Society Advisory Panel (CSAP), Professor Ms. Cristiana Carletti, as well as many delegates from Allied and Partner countries.

The meeting provided an opportunity to take stock of the implementation of NATO agenda on WPS, in line with UN Security Council Resolution 1325, to present the outcome of the second annual meeting of the CSAP (which took place in Brussels in October 2017) and to agree further measures to strengthen outreach and public engagement activities on women empowerment and gender issues.
